Dream Companion AI (the site calls itself My Dream Companion, or MDC) is an adult AI chat and image website where you design a companion or pick one from a large community library, chat with it, and pay for extras with a recurring subscription and a coin balance. Its pages promise realistic images, uncensored roleplay and long-term memory. This review sticks to what the site states publicly, what its terms add, and which questions to answer before you pay.
Research note, 25 September 2026: We publish mywifu, so we have a commercial interest in this comparison. Every Dream Companion fact below comes from its official website, mydreamcompanion.com, and its legal pages, read on 25 September 2026. We did not buy a plan, so we have not measured its memory, image quality or reply speed. Prices and features change; check the live pages before you decide.
What Dream Companion AI is
According to its terms of service, the site is operated by Miracle AI UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a company registered in Berlin, Germany, and lets users "design their own characters or engage with characters created by others" through an AI chat, plus generate images from text. The legal notice lists the same company, its Berlin address and its commercial register entry.
Three things define it:
- It is a website. We found no official app store listing linked from the site. You sign up with Google, Discord or an email and password.
- Much of the catalog is made by users. The home page shows community characters with creator handles and view counts, plus a long list of tags for kinks, relationships and styles.
- It is not female-only. The creator offers Female, Male and Futanari, in Realistic or Anime style, and the browse page has a gender filter.
A note on the name: some lookalike domains use the same brand. The legal pages we cite are on mydreamcompanion.com, so that is the domain to check.
Features as the site describes them
From the home page, the creator and the subscription page:
- Character creator in steps (style, general, face, body, details, image), with three routes: presets, "Create With AI", and "Custom Prompts (Pro Mode)", which is marked Premium.
- Image generator with presets for character, pose, background and outfit, a custom prompt field (Premium), and batches of 2 to 32 images per request. A video mode also appears in the generator.
- Chat with created or community characters. The FAQ says you can run several characters at once and delete a chat or character to start over.
- Paid extras on the top plan: spicy audio messages, voice calls, image and video generation, a priority queue, "extended chat memory" and longer video generation.
- Languages: the site is published in more than a dozen languages, including German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Arabic.
Two claims deserve caution. The site markets "unbeatable long-term memory" and near-perfect face consistency across images. We did not test either. The creator page also quotes survey figures about singles and AI partners without naming a source on the page, so we do not repeat them.
Free tier, Dream Coins and pricing
This is where most people get confused, so here is what each official page says.
Free use. The terms say free users "can create up 1 character and send a limited number of messages, typically between 10 to 20", after which interaction is restricted. You can earn extra credits by completing tasks. The privacy policy adds that registration is requested "after a free test of a few conversations".
Dream Coins. Paid subscribers receive Dream Coins (credits) for images and extra characters. The terms state that subscribers get 100 Dream Coins and that each use costs between 3 and 20 coins. The Ultimate plan on the subscription page lists 800 Dream Coins per month, with a limited-time bonus of 800 coins in the first month when we looked.
Plans. The subscription page offers Premium and Ultimate, each monthly or yearly. On our visit, the default view showed Ultimate yearly at US$299.88 billed annually, and monthly Ultimate presented as a per-day price (US$1.50 a day). The Premium figures did not appear in the page we could read without an account, so we are not quoting them. Third-party review sites quote lower Premium prices; we could not confirm those on the official page.
What that means in practice: a free test tells you whether you like the chat, but images, extra characters and the top features run on a subscription plus coins. Before paying, open the subscription page, switch between Premium and Ultimate and between monthly and yearly, and write down the total you will be charged today and on renewal. Our AI girlfriend cost guide has a simple sheet for comparing coin-based plans.
Renewals, refunds and content rules
Three policies are worth reading in full before you enter card details.
Cancellation. Plans are recurring. The terms say you can cancel "from rebilling at any time", but a request received after a new billing period has started may still be charged for that cycle, and cancelling does not refund the unused part of the current period. Set a reminder a few days before the renewal date.
Refunds. The refund policy states that Dream Companion "does not offer refunds for paid subscriptions", except in limited cases such as an error on its side or a technical problem, reviewed case by case. It also says stricter local consumer rules still apply, which matters if you live in the EU.
Content. The blocked content policy bans illegal material, content that harms or resembles minors, bestiality, scat, direct bloodline incest and deceptive impersonation of real people. It explicitly permits step-family scenarios, and those tags are prominent on the home page. The underage policy relies on a self-declared 18+ confirmation at registration plus a moderation filter. If you prefer a catalog without taboo family roleplay, that is a real difference between services.
Privacy points to check
The privacy policy covers the usual ground (access, correction and deletion rights, retention "as long as necessary"). A few lines stood out:
- Ad and analytics trackers. It names Meta Pixel, Google Ads and Analytics, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, JuicyAds, TrafficJunky and Hotjar among the services used to analyze how people use the site.
- AI improvement. It says user data may be used to improve the AI, in anonymized or aggregated form.
- Anonymity. The home page FAQ suggests a pseudonym and a separate email if you want to stay anonymous. That is sensible on any companion site.
None of this is unusual for the category, but it is worth knowing before you share personal details in an intimate chat. Our AI companion privacy guide lists what to look for on any service.
Who Dream Companion suits, and its limits
It may suit you if you want to try chat before paying anything, you want male or non-binary characters as well as female ones, you like browsing a large community library with niche tags, or you want to write your own image prompts and generate many images at once.
Limits and open questions:
- The free allowance is small (10 to 20 messages per the terms), so a real test of memory is hard without paying.
- Billing is recurring, and refunds are the exception, not the rule.
- Coin costs vary by action (3 to 20 coins per use in the terms), so the real monthly cost depends on how many images you make.
- Memory and consistency claims are marketing until you test them yourself.
- User-made characters vary a lot in quality and theme.
How mywifu compares
mywifu is a narrower product: fictional adult women only, a curated set of ready-made companions, and no recurring billing.
| Dream Companion (per its pages, Sept 2026) | mywifu | |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | Website | Website |
| Characters | Community library plus your own; female, male and futanari | 111 ready-made companions (realistic and anime) or your own; female only |
| Character creation | Presets, "Create With AI", custom prompts on Premium | Guided choices: style, adult age, looks, personality, relationship, voice |
| Media | Images in batches, video on paid plans | Photos and short videos you describe in your own words |
| Voice | Audio messages and voice calls listed on Ultimate | Live voice calls, billed per started minute |
| Billing model | Recurring monthly or yearly subscription plus Dream Coins | One-time memberships with credits, no auto-renewal |
| Free use | 1 character and about 10 to 20 messages per the terms | Design her and get her first three photos; chat needs a membership |
| Age | 18+ by self-declaration | 18+ only |
| Payments | Subscription FAQ mentions cards and PayPal; answers not visible without an account | Crypto and Telegram Stars |

Be clear on the trade-off. Dream Companion lets you chat for free for a few messages; mywifu does not offer free chat. On mywifu you can go through the creator before signing up, and an account gets you her first three photos for free so you can judge the look. Chat, voice calls and more photos and videos need a membership. Inside a membership, an AI reply costs 20 credits, a new photo 100, a short video 600 and a voice call 120 per started minute.
The plans page currently lists US$19.99 for 30 days with 1,000 credits, US$49.99 for 90 days with 3,000, US$99.99 for 365 days with 12,000 and US$197 for lifetime access with 24,000 credits. None of them renew. Lifetime is not unlimited: when the credits run out, you top up or stop.

A checklist before you pay any companion site
Run through this for Dream Companion, mywifu or anyone else:
- Find the legal owner. A named company and address on the legal notice is a good sign. Dream Companion has one.
- Write down the renewal. Is it a subscription? What is charged on day one and on renewal, and how do you cancel?
- Price your real usage. Count how many images, videos and call minutes you expect in a month, then convert that into coins or credits.
- Read the refund line. "No refunds except errors" is common. Know it before you buy.
- Test memory yourself. Tell the character three facts, change topic for ten messages, then ask about them.
- Check the content rules. Make sure the service allows what you want and bans what you would never want to see.
- Protect your identity. Use a separate email and never share your address, workplace or real photos of other people.

Bottom line
Dream Companion is a broad, community-driven adult chat and image site with a small free test, recurring subscriptions, coins for media and a strict refund policy. It fits people who want variety, male characters and many generated images. If you want a curated set of adult women, a guided creator and payments that never renew, start designing your companion on mywifu, look at her three free photos, and only then decide on a membership.
Frequently asked questions
Is Dream Companion AI free?
Partly. Its terms say free users can create one character and send a limited number of messages, typically 10 to 20, and can earn extra credits through tasks. Images, more characters and the bigger features sit behind a paid plan and Dream Coins.
Who runs Dream Companion?
The site's legal notice names Miracle AI UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a company registered in Berlin, Germany. The official domain is mydreamcompanion.com.
Does Dream Companion renew automatically?
Yes. Its plans are recurring subscriptions billed monthly or yearly. The cancellation policy says you can stop future charges at any time, but cancelling does not refund the unused part of the current billing period.
Can I get a refund from Dream Companion?
Its refund policy says paid subscriptions are not refunded, except in limited cases such as an error on their side or a technical problem, reviewed case by case. Stronger consumer rules in your country still apply.
Does Dream Companion have male characters?
Yes. The character creator offers female, male and futanari options, and the browse page has a gender filter. mywifu, by contrast, only offers female companions.
Did you test Dream Companion yourselves?
No paid test. We publish mywifu, so we have a commercial interest. Everything here comes from Dream Companion's public pages checked on 25 September 2026. We did not buy a plan or measure memory, image quality or reply speed.
